My time at the communication department has given me so many opportunities to not only better my education but also up my portfolio. I've been able to work with nonprofits like Feeding the Valley and Girls Inc. of Columbus and Phenix-Russell. I've also gotten the chance to work with Uptown Life Group, the organization over fine dining restaurants in Columbus, Georgia like The Loft and Saltcellar.

Graduate Assistant

Our graduate program offers students insights into the world of strategic communication, enabling them either on their way to career advancement in the corporate world or on to more exciting, advanced graduate work leading to teaching and research opportunities. Having advised graduate students over the past three years — both in the courses they have taken with me as well as in their preparatory work towards writing their theses or professional project reports — I have had the opportunity to know first-hand how intelligent and enterprising our students are, and how dedicated they are to disciplined and rigorous academic work.
