Frequently Asked Questions
Does the student recreation center offer swimming lessons?
Yes. The student recreation center does offer swimming lessons. Any member of the SRC can purchase lessons for themselves or a family but the participant must be 16 years of age when registering for lessons. For more information, please see front desk staff.
How much do swimming lessons cost?
Individual private lessons cost $75.00 per participant. This cost will cover 5 1-hour blocks of instruction.
Group lessons can be purchased for $50.00 per participant. This cost will cover 5 1 hour blocks of instruction. Groups are no larger than 3 participants.
Can I become a certified lifeguard at the student recreation center?
Unfortunately, we are not offering lifeguard certifications at this time.
Do we rent the facility for birthday parties and other special occasions?
The Aquatic Center is available to rent. Please contact University Operations for more information.
