Is this a "real" counseling center?
Yes, CSU's Counseling Center is a full-service mental health facility with qualified psychologists and counselors.
Does the information obtained in a therapy session go into my permanent record?
No, all records in the Counseling Center remain in the Center and are confidential.
Who can use your services?
Only currently enrolled students may receive personal counseling.
What types of problems do you deal with?
Our therapists and counselors are qualified to help with spouse/marital counseling; boyfriend/girlfriend issues; mental illness; parenting issues; stress; depression; sexual abuse, etc. The Center is a full-service mental health facility.
Why should I come to the Counseling Center?
Anything that causes you to lose focus could be helped by seeing someone in the Center. We are here to help you be the best student possible.
What should I do if I have a crisis outside of office hours?
Call Campus Police at 706-507-8911. You can also utilize the Crisis Talk / Text lines on the Crisis Intervention page. If you do, please call us the next day so we can help you.
